F & P have been supporting MacMillian since the beginning of 2014 to help fund the fight against cancer.

Macmillian provide a constant source of support, giving more than just medical help to patients who live with cancer, but also for carers, families and communities.

Over the last few months we have been raising money to help Macmillian; from Orpington’s Golf Day’s to Pie & Pea Sales at Wakefield, F & P have been taking every opportunity to raise money for such a heartfelt cause.

We have had colleagues that have pushed themselves to the limit! John Byrne (Category Manager for Heating) partook in the Wolf Run, a gruelling 10k muddy obstacle course. Jamie Barton (Management Apprentice) took to two wheels to complete the Thames Meander Half Marathon and we even had our colleagues at Wakefield Distribution Depot take part in a static “Tour De France”.

Events are already coming together for the next 12 months, F & P will be taking part in “The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” and our very own Richard Birch (Regional Sales Manager – Central) will be trekking across the Himalayas for 10 days to raise money for Macmillian.

Not only do our fundraising events raise a fantastic amount of money for Macmillian, but they also help to bring our colleagues, suppliers and customers together as well as boosting staff morale.

F & P greatly appreciates all the efforts and donations made by its employees, customers and suppliers in continuing to raise funds for Macmillan and to help make sure that ‘no-one should face cancer alone’.
